Blake Kinsey is a Writer, Director, Producer & avid tea-drinker hailing originally from the mountains of Western North Carolina. He has produced & directed several short films, some of which have had festival success. His co-directorial project, The Anomaly, has been recognized in festivals such as The Cannes World Film Festival & Mindfield Film Festival. He has also served as the Showrunner/Head Writer for an independent web-series, where he additionally came on as a Guest Director for one of the episodes. Blake also works as a Production Assistant local to the Raleigh/Durham area. He loves working on set, and being part of a well oiled machine.
I have written, directed, and produced a number of short films, both union and non-union. I have a knack for creative problem solving, and love working as a visionary director among a talented team. I like to pull from all people, because everyone has a great idea at some point. I've worked in directing settings from crews ranging from 7-45 people. I know the inner-workings of a set well, and thrive in running those kinds of environments. I've worked on other short films, commercials and documentaries as a Producer, Craft Services, Boom-Op, PA, and Script Supervisor. I'm versed in screenplay language, Adobe Premiere, I've got a great work ethic and collaborative spirit, and I can make a pretty mean sandwich.
